Generally, no. We find that open-ended hourly billing doesn't serve our clients well. Instead, our process typically follows these steps:  1. A minimum service visit 2. A thorough system evaluation or diagnosis 3. A detailed written quote 4. Your approval to proceed with the repair or installation  This method is far more effective for technical marine systems, where the root cause of an issue often remains hidden until the vessel and equipment are physically inspected.

Our minimum service charge starts at $200.  This baseline covers the dispatch of a qualified technician to your vessel to begin the evaluation or service. The final price will depend on the specific system, the scope of work, ease of access, your location, and the findings during the diagnostic phase.

Travel and mobilization charges are determined by geographic zones.  Our core service area is Southwest Florida from Marco to Sarasota. We also accept select projects in West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, and Fort Lauderdale, which incur additional fees.

Our standard service area includes Marco, Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Venice, and Sarasota.  We are also available for select work in West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, and Fort Lauderdale, subject to additional travel and mobilization charges.

It is common for boats to reveal hidden issues once a project is underway. To keep things moving, you can choose between a "speed-focused" authorization path or an "approval-first" path.  We outline these details clearly in our work authorization documents so there are no surprises as the job proceeds.

Do you require deposits?

Yes. To secure materials and reserve time on our technical schedule, our standard deposit structure is:  • 100% deposit on parts • 50% deposit on labor

Yes. Because these items are sourced specifically for your vessel, special-order and job-specific parts require 100% payment upfront.

This rate applies to after-hours calls, weekend service, and situations where your vessel is inoperable and requires immediate attention.  Standard scheduling is based on availability during business hours. Priority scheduling may be available for an additional fee depending on our current workload.

If the issue can be resolved within the scope of the minimum, we will complete it on the spot.
