Accumar Marine may utilize a combination of minimum service charges, diagnostic fees, quoted project pricing, fixed-scope pricing, and progress billing. Any initial estimate or service minimum is based on information available at the time and may be adjusted if onboard conditions differ, hidden defects are found, or the scope of work changes.
A minimum charge of $200 applies to service visits unless otherwise specified in writing. This covers dispatch, technician time, inspection, and initial diagnosis. This minimum does not guarantee that a repair or installation will be completed within that initial amount.
When applicable, we provide a written quote defining the proposed scope of work based on observable conditions. Work falling outside this defined scope is considered additional. This includes issues related to hidden defects, improper prior repairs, corrosion, or access limitations not visible during the initial inspection.
For certain projects, customers may choose between speed-focused or approval-first authorizations. A speed-focused authorization allows us to proceed with necessary additional work within agreed limits to prevent delays. An approval-first authorization means work may pause while we seek further direction. The chosen path is governed by the signed estimate or work order.
Travel and mobilization fees are zone-based. Our standard service area is Southwest Florida from Marco to Sarasota. Work performed outside this area, including West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, and Fort Lauderdale, is subject to additional charges for travel, lodging, and mobilization.
Unless otherwise stated, we require a 100% deposit on parts and a 50% deposit on labor. Accumar Marine will commence work, order materials, and reserve labor once these deposits have cleared.
All special-order, custom, or job-specific materials are non-cancelable and non-refundable once the order is placed. Due to the specialized nature of these components, returns are generally not accepted.
We generally do not install parts provided by the owner. If an exception is made in writing, we make no representations regarding the compatibility or condition of those parts. Any additional labor required due to fitment issues or missing items is billable. No warranty is provided on owner-supplied parts, and our labor warranty may be voided if a failure is linked to those components.
Accumar Marine accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), cash, personal and business checks, ACH bank transfers, and Zelle.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due the day the invoice is issued. For ongoing projects, we may invoice on a weekly progress basis, with payments due at the end of each billing week.
Invoices unpaid for more than seven days may incur a late charge of 5% per month (or the maximum rate allowed by law). Accumar Marine reserves the right to recover all costs associated with collection and enforcement.
Priority or emergency scheduling is subject to availability and will be billed at our established emergency rates. Availability for these services is not guaranteed.
Unless otherwise stated, Accumar Marine provides a 90-day labor warranted period on our workmanship. This is limited to the correction of the specific work performed and does not cover consequential losses, towing, haul-outs, or third-party charges.
Warranties on parts and equipment are provided solely by the manufacturer. Accumar Marine does not modify or extend these manufacturer terms.
Warranty coverage is excluded for issues arising from owner-supplied parts, corrosion, electrolysis, lack of maintenance, misuse, pre-existing defects, or environmental exposure. We do not warrant used or obsolete equipment or failures caused by systems not repaired by Accumar Marine.
The repair or replacement of a single component does not serve as a guarantee for the performance or reliability of the entire system unless a broader scope is explicitly agreed upon in writing.
All projected dates and durations are estimates. Marine work is frequently subject to delays caused by weather, parts availability, vessel condition, and marina restrictions beyond our reasonable control.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled service visit may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the minimum service charge. Rescheduling requests are accommodated based on availability. If Accumar Marine must cancel or reschedule due to weather, parts delays, or other factors beyond our control, no cancellation fee is charged and we will reschedule at the earliest available time.
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access to the vessel and the systems requiring service. This includes providing dock access, keys, alarm codes, and any necessary marina permissions. Accumar Marine is not responsible for delays or additional charges caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or the need to relocate the vessel. Any haul-out, crane, or diver services required to access equipment are the customer's responsibility unless included in the written quote.
Accumar Marine's total liability for any claim arising from services rendered shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific job in question. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages including but not limited to loss of use, lost revenue, towing costs, haul-out fees, marina charges, or third-party claims. Marine systems operate in harsh environments and failures can occur despite proper workmanship.
Any disputes arising from services provided by Accumar Marine shall first be addressed through direct communication with our management team. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Lee County, Florida, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Florida law governs these terms.
These terms function alongside any signed estimates, work orders, or project agreements. In the event of a conflict, the specific written agreement for the individual job will take precedence.
Accumar Marine reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The current version is always available on our website. Continued engagement of our services after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you have questions about our terms of service, pricing, or payment policies, don't hesitate to reach out. We're happy to clarify any details before work begins.
