Complete system scope
Retractable sonar is a multidisciplinary installation. Hull structure, water integrity, machinery access, deployment clearance, power, controls, sensors, data, software, and operator workflow all affect the final result.
Define the vessel, hull material, operating profile, sonar model, hull-unit dimensions, deployment clearance, access, and haul-out requirements before cutting or fabrication begins.
Inspect or install the retractable unit, raise/lower mechanism, limits, seals, structural interface, and service access according to the selected manufacturer documentation.
Plan circuit protection, power quality, control wiring, display connection, heading and position inputs, and supported NMEA or network interfaces.
Troubleshoot alarms, deployment faults, control problems, image or signal concerns, software and data issues, and verify operation within safe vessel and yard limits.
