Now Hiring — Southwest Florida

Stop Fixing Boats for Someone Else's Bottom Line

Premium daily rate. Real technical work. Southwest Florida, year-round.

You didn't spend years developing real diagnostic skill so someone with a spreadsheet could tell you what that skill is worth. You know what it takes to walk onto an unfamiliar vessel, trace a fault nobody else found, and leave it running right. That's not a common thing. We pay for it like it isn't.

AccuMar Marine Services is hiring now across Southwest Florida. W-2, daily rate, mobile work — no shop floor, no franchise structure, no off-season. We've been operating since 1999, and this company is run by an MCA 200-Ton Master Unlimited with 12 years of international experience and ABYC certification, who still turns wrenches in the field. The person handing you a job order has worked on the same systems you have — probably on the same boats.

Sound Familiar?

You Already Know What the Wrong Job Looks Like

You've worked it. The shop where three guys share one set of gauges. The service manager who's never pulled a reversing valve and doesn't know what one costs. The flat rate that hasn't moved in eighteen months while parts costs went up thirty percent. The "busy season bonus" that never quite materializes.

Or you're the one-man show who's good at the work but buried in scheduling, chasing invoices, and underbidding jobs because you don't know what the market will bear. Either way — you're carrying more than you're getting paid for.

We're not going to tell you this job solves everything. We're going to tell you it pays what the work is worth, the tools are there when you need them, and the person handing you a job order has diagnosed the same systems you have.

Why AccuMar

What's Actually Different Here

We're a mobile marine service operation based in Fort Myers, covering Cape Coral, Sanibel, Bonita Springs, Naples, and the surrounding waterways. You go to the vessel — no shop, no commute to a yard first. Your schedule is yours to manage.

We hold factory authorizations from Dometic, Victron Energy, Harken, Profurl, and Depco Pump — which means OEM parts access, factory technical support, and training that most independent operations can't get. The work that comes through us tends to be more complex than what a dealership service department handles.

The vessels we work on run the full range — center consoles and sport fishers, long-range cruisers like Grand Banks, Nordhavn, and Pacific Mariner, American classics from Hinckley, Morris, and Burger, and European and Nordic marques including Princess, Sunseeker, Fairline, Pershing, Ferretti, Azimut, Oyster, Hallberg-Rassy, and Nautor's Swan. If you've worked on quality boats, you'll recognize the work here.

The disciplines: marine AC and refrigeration, sailboat rigging and mast work, inboard and outboard engines — gas and diesel — hydraulic steering and stabilizers, marine electrical, watermakers, and generators. Depth in two or three areas and the fundamentals to learn the rest is what we're looking for.

We've been on over 3,400 vessels since 1999. Southwest Florida doesn't have an off-season, and we don't operate like it does.

Compensation

What the Job Actually Pays

Daily rate, W-2. Your rate reflects your experience and skill level, and it moves as you prove yourself. We don't post a range because the honest answer depends on what you bring. What we'll say is this: if you're a qualified tech who's been undervalued at your last job, you'll notice the difference. We'll talk numbers on the first call — not after a committee reviews your application.

Certifications on Us

EPA Section 608, ABYC technical courses, and factory training through our authorized brands — we pay for credentials that make you more capable. Your skills belong to you; we have no interest in making you fund your own development.

Specialty Equipment Provided

Refrigerant recovery units, manifold gauges, rigging tools, hydraulic test equipment — the expensive kit is ours. You bring your personal hand tools; we cover the rest.

Consistent Work, Twelve Months a Year

This market doesn't hibernate. If you're reliable and good at the work, you'll stay busy.

How to Apply

No cover letter. No online portal. Tell us what you've worked on — the systems you know well, the ones you're still developing, and what you're looking for. Call, email, or show up. We respond fast.

We're hiring across all levels: experienced marine systems technicians, HVAC and refrigeration specialists, engine techs for gas and diesel inboards and outboards, hydraulics, rigging, electrical, and apprentices with solid mechanical foundations and the right attitude. If you're coming from HVAC, diesel mechanics, or industrial electrical and want to transition to marine work, we're open to that conversation.

If the fit is there, we'll talk numbers on the first call.
