Starlink Installation for Boats & Yachts

From a clear-sky mounting plan to protected cable runs, power and onboard Wi-Fi integration. Accumar fits Starlink hardware into the vessel, not just onto the roof.

Most new non-urgent work is currently scheduled about 3–4 weeks out. Urgent requests are reviewed during business hours.

Installation scope

Hardware revisions differ. A good installation starts with the actual terminal, manufacturer instructions and vessel layout—not an assumed universal mount or cable.

01

Antenna placement

Evaluate the actual kit revision, clear sky view, radar and other equipment, vibration, mount structure, maintenance access and vessel use before a location is selected.

02

Marine cable routing

Plan protected cable runs, bend radius, deck penetrations, strain relief, weather sealing and a serviceable route into the vessel.

03

Power & protection

Check the supplied hardware's voltage and power requirements, conversion where appropriate, breaker/circuit protection and available vessel capacity.

04

Router & Wi-Fi integration

Connect supported Ethernet/router hardware to the boat's existing network and Wi-Fi plan; keep safety-critical navigation functions appropriately isolated.

The vessel is the system

We assess power and network health, confirm the physical installation and test supported local connectivity before handover. The vessel owner retains control of the Starlink account, subscription, plan and credentials; activation and service coverage are governed by Starlink.
