ABT-TRAC Stabilizer & Bow/Stern Thruster Service

Accumar Marine Services is an authorized ABT-TRAC dealer and authorized service provider in Southwest Florida. We install, service and repair fin stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, and their hydraulic, electrical and control systems—starting with the exact equipment and vessel configuration.

30+ years of marine systems experience. Most new non-urgent work is currently scheduled about 3–4 weeks out.

ABT-TRAC: fins, thrust and control

Manufacturer product families guide equipment identification. Service and parts are selected for the exact model, power arrangement, controls and vessel—not from the brand name alone.

Digital fin stabilization

TRAC digital hydraulic fin systems link vessel-motion sensing, controls and fin actuators. Service can involve shafts, seals, bearings, actuator condition, hydraulic supply and controller faults. Electric-system work is assessed against the installed generation and documentation.

Bow & stern thrusters

ABT-TRAC publishes hydraulic, AC and DC thruster families with twin counter-rotating propellers. We evaluate propellers, drive legs, seals, bearings, motors, supply and control response. Tunnel fit and drive compatibility are confirmed before replacement or installation.

TRAC-STAR at-rest systems

Stabilization At Rest is a specific TRAC configuration, not a feature of every installed fin system. We identify the fins, controls and power arrangement before discussing service or upgrade options. Hydraulic at-rest installations require the appropriate pump and power source.

Controls & integrated hydraulics

Single-speed, proportional and TRAC-Link/CAN bus controls have different installation requirements. Diagnosis follows power, communications, interlocks and actuator commands, with pumps, filtration, valves, hoses and cooling assessed where they support the affected system.

Installation · service · repair

Trace the fault through the complete system.

A fin alarm or a weak thruster may begin in the controls, power supply, hydraulics or loaded machinery. We document the installed arrangement, test the relevant circuits and agree on the repair or installation scope.

Replacement parts, seal kits, boards, drives and equipment are checked by model and supplier availability before ordering.

Hydraulic component service

Fin shafts, seals & actuators

Inspect leaks, shaft and bearing condition, actuator movement, linkage and hull interfaces. Reseal or rebuild scope follows component inspection; underwater and hull-interface work may require haul-out.

Thruster drive & control faults

Trace weak or absent thrust, direction faults, vibration and alarms through propellers, drive hardware, electrical or hydraulic supply, station controls and fitted interlocks.

Hydraulic plant service

Pump and cylinder rebuild assessment, resealing, hose replacement, valves, filters, fluid condition and heat-exchanger checks are coordinated with the stabilizer or thruster fault.

Installation & commissioning

Plan equipment selection, hull and structural requirements, hydraulic/electrical integration, station controls, yard access, setup and operating checks. Final scope and sea-trial arrangements are agreed for the vessel.

Owner-supplied photographs document ABT-TRAC fin work on a 75-foot Hatteras at Indiantown Marine Center and a 100-foot Horizon in the Owl Creek area near Fort Myers. These are separate assignments; photographs show the work context without implying a completed repair or performance result.

Mobile service. Planned yard access.

Fort Myers-based mobile service across Southwest Florida, subject to travel scope, property permission, safe vessel access, and scheduling availability. Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Punta Gorda and surrounding areas are reviewed from the actual vessel location. Underwater components, tunnels, fin shafts and hull work may need a suitable boatyard or haul-out.

Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Most new non-urgent work is currently scheduled about 3–4 weeks out. Urgent requests are reviewed during business hours. Technician availability, travel, safe access, parts, and response timing are confirmed case by case; first-visit completion and after-hours service are not guaranteed.

Safety comes before troubleshooting.

Keep people clear of fins, thruster propellers and moving mechanisms. Avoid repeated resets or operating damaged equipment. For flooding, fire, injury or immediate vessel danger, contact emergency authorities first; Accumar service intake is not an emergency-response service.

Send controller messages, model and serial tags, symptom history, access photos and the vessel location for technical review.
